Thanks to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I now have a spare hood sitting in my garage.
My plan is to make a custom vented hood, like this:
I plan on only doing 2 full length vents instead of 3 per side, but same basic theory.
Then I snagged a set of 19" Journey wheels for a steal:

I am getting it set up to have them powder coated dark bronze. Once that’s done I’ll grab some tires and have new rollers.

BTW, I’ll post again my theory that if NASCAR really wants to re-connect to America they ought to start the long-awaited NASCAR Mini-van series.
Imagine minivans on the banked oval at 190 MPH, with four mandated “pit stops” for Pampers and a gallon of milk during a 500 mile race.
The time is now. And, yeah, I love that stance on that minivan.

“I’m not gonna change this one, guys!” LOL!

I bet the Indy500 has a trademark on the milk. Maybe at some random point in the race each driver has to detour to the school to pick up a kid with a runny nose.

Hey I made it like 6 months. That’s a record.
Nothing major mechanical at least ;)

To him, “change” means “build the trans and swap the motor” or “lay a hot new paint job in three hours flat” . This is nothing.

Souped up minivans are great! I like
d
ark bronze - you can actually see the wheels.
I showed you this a while ago. Scoop for the top mount intercooler. Vent over the turbo. Lowered on deep dish OZ Volcano wheels.

I think we enthusiasts say that on every vehicle.
The closest to stock I’ve ever been since I started messing with cars in ‘97 was my 2016 Fiesta ST. I did a panel filter,
short shifter plate,
shift knob and aerial from my previous Focus ST,
BS eBay gurney flap, and some brighter bulbs.
FFS, I don’t even have the Focus RS yet and I’m already buying/planning on shit.

NASVAN would need to have two pit crew members, a jack and four tires to do their own tire changes. Refueling could be handled by someone in pit road.

More power to ya, man. It’s vicariously fun to watch your projects come to fruition.

Exactly! To “keep it interesting” a randomized computer algorithm (simulating a real-world spouse) will twice during any race issue a random “pick up the kids at soccer practice” demand to every van in the field.
Driver has to physically get out of the van on pit row and strap a 25 pound bag of flour into a car-seat.

I couldn’t understand why Rutledge’s van didn’t perform better... 1000 HP in a Honda van...

This is the coolest thing I’ve ever been given credit for. Thanks!

Any actual stock cars would be more fun to watch than the current “stock cars”.
I’d rather watch a field of real chargers, 300s, Accords, Impalas, Camrys, Maximas, Passats, you name it. Altho Ford wouldn’t be let in since they don’t makes cars anymore. Well I guess the EB Mustang could come to play. But then Chevy would want to use the Camaro.

Doesn’t Chevy only make the Malibu now. Impala dead I think

I would have won that race if I hadn’t spent 10 mins trying to find Billy’s hat after practice.

Because it was limited to around 400 hp in the first 3 gears.
